SUMMARY

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all Brightline production and warehouse activities such as ensuring the receipt, coordination, and safety of goods coming through a warehouse. Also ensures that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively manage all the business unit functions, to include shipping, receiving, auditing, inventory control, customer service, Brightline operation and other operational functions of the facility.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of each department employees to achieve safety objectives, inventory accuracy, controlling costs, productivity and on-time delivery.
  • Develop clear goals and objectives for area of responsibility. Develop, gain approval, and implement practices and procedures to meet the goals of the overall business. Ensure metrics are in place to ensure progress toward goals and objectives.
  • Implement and manage the processes, systems, and structure that ensures warehouse, safety and budgetary commitments are met.
  • Ensure metrics are being met to progress towards company goals and objectives
  • Develop, track, and manage methods/metrics that provide accurate and timely data and information in support of internal and external customers.
  • Manage employee performance. This process includes alignment of employee goals, objectives, and competencies to support business strategies. Manager must have the ability to meet with employee's on off shift and weekends if needed.
  • Supervise warehouse and office personnel to ensure that Company policies and procedures are adhered to and issue disciplinary action as warranted.
  • Ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe manner and adhere to all corporate and divisional safety policies.
  • Maintain all warehouse standards including but not limited to SQF/QA, OSHA, Sanitation, monthly/yearly cycle counts and Inventory Control.
  • Monitor customer fill rate and install corrective actions to ensure all available product ships.
  • Create yearly budget as a team with accounting operations.
  • Continue to enhance knowledge of job related operations.
  • Monitor 3rd party warehouse for accurate shipping/receiving process and cleanliness.
  • Ensure PO process is followed for the creation and approval for Hobart vendors.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business in Supply Chain preferred
  • 5 years or more of warehouse supervisory experience
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Inventory Management
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • ERP knowledge highly preferred (SAP)
  • Motivated, self-starter
  • Detailed Oriented with a sense of urgency
  • Conflict Management
  • Prioritize projects and meet deadlines and customer expectations
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including performance management, employee evaluations, corrective actions, coaching, and interviewing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, stretch, stoop, bend, and use hands and fingers.
  • Employee may be required to lift up to 55lbs.
  • Ability able to read, write, and communicate orally in English.
  • Travel Requirements: As needed
