In Fugro America's Land Asset Integrity business line, we are looking for an accomplished Business Development Representative with a geospatial market background to expand our products and services to our existing customers. Your responsibilities will include the development and implementation of innovative tailored upsell and cross-sell sales solutions.

As a Geospatial Business Development Representative, you will work creatively to design product and service solutions that add value to our existing customer services. You will engage with existing customers to understand their drivers and develop plans to provide appropriate products and services to meet those needs. You will research and report on industry and market trends and work across departments to assist in developing strategic approaches to meet current and future requirements. You will drive efforts to increase revenue within existing contract vehicles. You will regularly communicate with customers and internal departments to provide the highest possible level of service to customers, complete customer sales, and work to resolve customer questions and problems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Land Asset Integrity product offering and value proposition to formulate sales solutions to meet customer-defined needs
  • Focus sales efforts based on current and future product and service offerings
  • Develop a scalable upsell & cross-sell sale plan and process
  • Solve problems for clients and customers by developing innovative and tailored sales solutions
  • Work with senior management to devise and implement innovative go-to-market strategies
  • Work with the business development team to design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company's customer base and ensures its strong presence.
  • Work with the senior management team to set revenue, and sales goals, and track them on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis
  • Communicate with customers on future initiatives including product developments, new products/services, and company activities.
  • Track customer complaints by investigating problems, proposing solutions, and appropriately escalating to the point of resolution
  • Act as liaison between customers and technical teams in validating customer requirements
  • Assist the proposal team with the production and delivery of professionally written and response-compliant proposals
  • Assist with monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Assist with research and reporting on market analysis, economic indicators, and industry trends.
  • Achieve KPIs and sales objectives through effective planning, goal setting, and data analysis
  • Use corporate CRM appropriately to manage sales tasks, pipeline, and closing (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Remain current with professional and technical knowledge through conferences, professional and industry networks, and professional and industry publications

Job Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration (Preferred) or in technical related disciplines such as engineering, remote sensing, geography, photogrammetry, or cartography
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the geospatial industry
  • Proven success as a strategist in leading teams and driving business for accounts in a competitive national business climate (Experience in geospatial markets preferred).
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding goals as an individual contributor.
  • Extensive office software & CRM experience (Microsoft)
  • Possess or ability to obtain a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel
  • Skilled at building rapport and understanding the business requirements of senior decision-makers
  • Exceptional business acumen with a demonstrated understanding of key business drivers
