Job Summary
The Department of Human Development and Family Science invites applications for a non-tenure track part-time Instructor position at the Auburn University Early Learning Center, effective August 1, 2024.
Essential Functions
Responsibilities include:
  • Teaching a half-day preschool class in a laboratory school setting
  • Facilitating positive parent-child-school relationships
  • Supervising students
  • Facilitating the department’s research program
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or Early Childhood Special Education with a strong developmental emphasis at the time employment begins and prior experience working with young children (2 years). Candidates should also have a working knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice and play-based, child-led learning.

The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the US by the date of appointment to begin and must be eligible to continue to work legally for the duration of the appointment. Selected candidate must be capable of communicating effectively in English.
Desired Qualifications
2 years of experience in an NAEYC accredited setting, as well as applicants who have hospital, trauma, or play therapy experience.
