POSITION SUMMARY: This position has analytical and process improvement responsibility over all Patient Access Quality Improvement initiatives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:  High school graduate. Associates Degree in Health Care Management or like field preferred. 

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: N/A

SKILLS: 

  • Knowledge of EPIC is essential
  • Strong technical and analytical skills. On the technical side, must showcase an understanding of Epic and the subsequent Patient Access systems all the while partnering with IT to develop specification requirements and adjustments to existing system configuration
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate well both orally and in writing
  • Advanced computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to perform intense concentration for extended periods
  • Ability to easily adapt to new programs and technology
  • The ability to establish priorities, effectively problem solve, and use good judgment and decision making in day-to-day operations
  • The ability to direct and guide non-reporting team members on pushing efforts to resolution and/or improvement. The ability to handle issues with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Work well in time bound and the occasional urgent situations
  • A demonstrated history of working in collaborative environments and guiding teams of decentralized stakeholders on work efforts
  • Possess knowledge of process improvement methodologies, particularly those with respect to developing baselines, identifying core issues, and measuring through the improvement to achieve goals and targets
  • General knowledge of the functional areas of patient scheduling, prior authorizations, referrals, revenue cycle, reimbursement practices, registration, and regulatory guidelines required along with ability to analyze large data sets, develop workplans, and build reporting

EXPERIENCE:  Seven (7) years experience in Health care field required along with a minimum of three (3) in leading performance improvement.

-Responsible to: Executive Director, Patient Access Services

 ENVIRONMENT: - Bloodborne pathogen   A

Works in a clean, well-lighted ventilated smoke-free environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Subject to stressful situations. Must be flexible in work schedule.
