The Role in Brief:

User Engagement Lead

 EAB is seeking a driven, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial individual to drive student engagement for a recently acquired technology Forage, which partners with the world’s leading companies to provide virtual job simulations and career preparation tools to students. In this role you will be primarily responsible for getting existing EAB student networks activated and engaged in Forage through email marketing.

This role will be based Washington, D.C. or Richmond, Virginia; remote applicants who would be based within the continental United States are also welcomed for this opportunity. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • User Empathy: Develop a deep understanding of the student, their motivations, pain points, and needs; keep a pulse on market trends to maximize student interaction and satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and marketing to create and implement promotional materials. This requires effective communication and teamwork to ensure alignment of goals and objectives across various departments.
  • Email Campaign Management: Set up, run, and optimize marketing campaigns through our Acquia product. This includes planning campaign timelines, targeting relevant audiences, writing and building engaging emails, and analyzing campaign performance.
  • Content Creation: Create compelling and relevant content for our student app, email, and higher ed marketing materials, aimed at promoting adoption and engagement of Forage by students and educators. Ensure the relevancy and accuracy of information and tailor content to suit different segments.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct regular analysis and reporting of campaign performance and student engagement metrics. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize future strategies and drive continuous improvement in student engagement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience
  • Proven email marketing and/or marketing automation experience, specifically with the development and execution of adoption and engagement campaigns
  • Able to clearly and precisely express complex ideas in written and graphical form; skilled at adapting language, format, and style for various media and audiences
  • Able to take ownership and drive projects from beginning to end, working with multiple groups effectively and on multiple projects concurrently
  • Intellectually curious, a quick study, creative, attentive to detail, self-motivated

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience working in higher education whether in student success, career center, or academic advising
  • Graphic design proficiency with software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, as well as the ability to create engaging animations and GIFs
  • Commitment to valuing diversity, practicing inclusive behaviors, and contributing to an equitable working and continual learning environment in support of EAB’s DE&I Promise

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $59,000 - $85,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
