The Union Temple Baptist Church Aya Program is funded by grants from the District of Columbia Department of Human Services. For over five (5) years, this program has provided outreach, case management and supportive services to families who are receiving welfare benefits in the District of Columbia(Temporary Assistance to Needy Families- TANF). The Aya program also offers a Monthly support group and mentor program to assist TANF families with the alleviation of barriers that prevent participation in Employment/Educational programs.
