Position Summary

Plays a lead role in solving more challenging technical problems and in developing specialized and generalized software for use throughout the organization. Sets standards for the smooth operation and installation of system solutions. Has system-wide responsibility on complex projects and components. Provides direction to team members and is a key contributor. May solve highly technical complex problems and be called on to consult for other projects. Assists with the transfer of knowledge of technical skills. Viewed as a Subject Matter Expert within the organization. Provides coaching to junior-level employees. Directs and manages the activities and personnel associated with providing technical services to internal customers by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems with desktop, laptop, and networked systems.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

• Interprets and explains information to audiences who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion
• Uses past experience or precedent to identify solutions or to adapt existing approaches to resolved issues
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
• Provides case status updates to management and end-users
• Supports and maintains effective relationships with business owners
• Leads a team of direct reports

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Role requires 12+ years of experience
• Desired degree requirement: Bachelor Degree
• Desired Certification: ITSM or ITIL
  • ITSM or ITIL
  • VMware VCAP or VCIX or VCDX
  • Microsoft MCSA or MCSE or SCCM
• Familiarity and expertise related to supporting information technology services offered to internal customers (users)
