Business Process Analyst

Overview

Aveshka's Technology Service Division is looking for a Business Process Analyst to join our federal technology services practice. We are looking for a consummate professional to work within our IT Transformation PMO project at the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HSS) Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Office of Information Technology (OIT). OIT is embarking on a strategic initiative to build up its IT capabilities. You should have experience in IT Strategy, IT Governance, IT Policy, and IT transformation.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct IT process analysis to understand opportunities for standardization, automation, and outsourcing
  • Support development of IT strategic plan required business processes
  • Analyze and document current business processes
  • Work with process owners, participants, and end users to develop and implement improved business processes and standards of operations and support
  • Recommend improvements to business processes and systems
  • Facilitate creation/tracking of performance indicators to measure business processes

Qualifications


Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience

  • Must have 2 or more years of experience in Information Technology projects.
  • Preference for candidates with experience public health and/or emergency
  • Experience planning IT capability, capacity, and IT transformation
  • Experience gathering/eliciting requirements and facilitating group discussions.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity to gain clarity on requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • US Citizenship
