This position is responsible for the management and oversight of task order execution, resourcing, assessment, technical performance, and quality of the services provided under the Scientific, Engineering, and Technical Support (SETS) contract, which supports the Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). The scientific, engineering, and technical support services provided under this contract contribute to DOE's strategic objective of decarbonizing the U.S. economy and lowering energy costs, while expanding energy choices for all American communities.

BGS is an engineering, technology, and security firm helping to advance missions of national importance for government programs, national laboratories, national security facilities, nuclear operations, and complex projects. SETS is managed under the Energy Technology Alliance (ETA), which is an unpopulated Joint Venture (JV) between BGS and Lindahl Reed, Inc. (LR) under the SBA Mentor-Protege Program. The ETA brings the combined resources and capabilities of BGS and LR in one entity focused on making immediate and sustained impacts to our customers' mission while employing strategies to innovate for a more resilient, safer, secure, and sustainable future.

Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for BGS/ETA staff for administrative purposes related to BGS Headquarter functions to ensure communications, coordination, and responsiveness.
  • Supervise technical team staff.
  • Support the QC process for technical deliverables.
  • Communicate with EERE Technology Managers and Technical Project Officers on BPA Order status.
  • Work closely with the SETS Project Management Office (PMO) to support BPA Order responses and reporting.
  • Report to the SETS/ETA Contract Manager.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 10+ years managing staff working on government energy projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Located in the Washington DC metropolitan area, or willing to move to the area.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals across multiple organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple short- and long-term responsibilities and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate bureaucracy with political sensitivity.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Successful drug screening.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE badge.

Starting compensation for this role typically salary ranges between $150,000 and $175,000 annually is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
