Job Description

Purpose

Provide strategic and operation finance business partner support to management of the Americas Vegetables seed production and supply (P&S). As a finance business analyst for the Americas Vegetable P&S organization, you will be responsible for providing both strategic and operational support. Your role will cover various areas including field production, plant processing, tolling, primary distribution, and residual (management spend). Additionally, you will collaborate with finance business partners in similar roles across different countries and regions to contribute to the team's efficiency, simplification, and harmonization of processes.

Accountabilities

  • Support all finance processes related to the Americas Vegetables P&S operations, which include field production, plant processing, tolling, primary distribution, and residual.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, identify/analyze variances, conduct business reviews and forecasts (including risks & opportunities). Communicate findings appropriately within the P&S organization and monitor the execution of identified actions.
  • Ensure month end financial reporting is accurate and explained appropriately by completing analysis of variances and preparing any necessary JVs in a timely manner.
  • Manage/support the annual budgeting and standard costing processes.
  • Support the Business leaders on capital project development, management of capital spend, and forecasting of that spend.
  • Provide support for periodic internal audits and ensure implementation of remediation actions.
  • Lead/support the implementation of new financial processes and systems across the Americas.
  • Support and drive compliance agenda to ensure appropriate controls are in place and monitored.
  • Train business stakeholders on finance matters as needed to increase their financial acumen.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical experience

  • 7 years of finance experience, preferably in (agricultural / production environment)
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP and MS Office applications
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and ability to work with all levels of the organization.

Education required:

  • Undergrade in Finance / Economics and/or Master in finance
