Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: The Social Worker will focus on social work practice behavioral health patients and their families. This position provides social work, case management & counseling services to patients & families experiencing psychiatric illness & or substance abuse issues; orients families/patients to the treatment program while encouraging active participation.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field.
  • Current experience in the field of social work, licensed professional counselor, and or licensed marriage/ family therapist drawn from theory, direct practice, research. Experience in CBT, child assessments, group work and play therapy. Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children who have experienced trauma.
  • Licensed as a qualified mental health professional-LCSW, LMSW, LPC- preferred specializing in Trauma Informed Care Therapy or other specialized treatment modalities. AHA or ARC BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider card showing completion of cognitive and skills evaluation in accordance with the curriculum of AHA BLS (CPR & AED) program within 30 days of hire or transfer to the position. Handle with Care required with new hire orientation.
  • Ability to identify & address the special needs of the psychiatric patient & addictive disease patient. Must be able to identify & address the special needs of patients in the child and adolescent age groups.
