WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Layer 3 Communications, an MGT Company is a leading professional services organization specializing in the design, implementation, security, and maintenance of wired and wireless converged network solutions. We are currently looking to fill a part time Installation Specialist position in our Houston locations. This position will join our deployment teams to deploy technology solutions for our customers. We have many ongoing projects in the Central/South Texas area and the work would be a mix of office time preparing hardware for installation and on-site in either geography installing.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Physical installation and removal of networking hardware
• Wireless access points
• Network switches.
• Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS)

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• High School Diploma or GED highly preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
• Computer or networking experience
• Experience installing other types of equipment.
• Excellent work ethic and able to follow team leader instructions.
• Reliable transportation
• Committed to entire project schedule.
• Able to lift at heavy equipment multiple hours per day.
• Able to work on ladders.
