The Analyst, Data & Analytics (located in Stamford, CT) will help drive the efforts to further the use of data in the area of fleet management and equipment sourcing, to drive increased return on investment and profitable growth. The Analyst will work with business owners and leverage technical skills to build data sets and conduct analyses used to drive action. Will focus on building data sets using SQL skills and then using Tableau to visualize the data for insight and action plan generation. As part of the Corporate Fleet team, this position will play a critical role in optimizing the company's over $28B+ of rental and non-rental assets.

What you'll do:

Data & Analytics
  • Demonstrate the use of analytics, visualization, and data modeling to drive improved decision making.
  • Utilize SQL to model data sources into analysis ready data sets.
  • Query and analyze data using Tableau, review data for production systems.
  • Rapid Tableau dashboard prototyping and working with IT to develop enterprise-grade capability.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and data science techniques to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships at the field and corporate levels, bringing ideas forward that operationalize insights into decision making.
  • Partner with corporate departments to identify areas where data is underutilized and create action plans that capitalize on data use.
  • Sample project include calculating Rental Useful Life (RUL) and predicting fleet needs for upcoming projects.


Organizational Support
  • Point of contact for Data & Analytics questions for corporate fleet department, including fleet management, sourcing, and region operations teams.
  • Support exploration and data testing to ensure stated goals are supported.
  • Works with leads to identify risk associated with data.


Project Management
  • Works with business leads to gather requirements, scope and phase work that provides guidance on short term and long term feasibility.
  • Conducts final user acceptance testing with department leads.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research or Analytical/Quantitative Methods
  • Ability to write unaided optimized SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Competency in Tableau
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with business leads
  • Strong business acumen
  • Analytical and problem solving skills with knowledge of technology tools that support this work
  • Business Intelligence system administration is preferred
  • Python skill is a plus
