The Quality Assurance Analyst Manager is responsible for managing the QA team while ensuring that the proper procedures are followed for all production system changes for the clients locations. This hands- on role will work in conjunction with the IT and Business departments to drive best practices within the change and QA processes. Other responsibilities include improving the efficiency of the IT QA procedures and ensuring end user satisfaction by identifying system errors before being introduced into production systems.

Accountabilities:
1.Manages and support the QA team to conduct functional, integration and regression testing.
2.Designs, modifies, and writes test scripts, and test plans that follow established software development lifecycles as well as architectural and business requirements testing standards.
3.Tests software applications to ensure that they adhere to business requirements.
4.Analyzes quality issues and recommends methods for improvement.
5.Establishes the performance baseline and executes tests to validate system performance under different load characteristics.
6.Develops, tracks, and reports operational metrics for the measurement of the quality assurance function and process improvement.
7.Manages the identification and documentation of defects and failures.
8.Manages the communication of issues to the development team, testers and end users.
9.Manages the design and implementation of professional QA services for use by IT, including tool assessment and acquisition, testing methodologies and value-added assessment.
10.Coordinates the writing of quality assurance documentation and training materials and the execution of an assortment of tests.
11.All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge:
*Solid technical knowledge of computer systems and the interaction of people/process/technology
*Strong working knowledge of organizational, time management and prioritization skills
*Ability to identify defects found during script writing/testing
*Ability to log defects with clear and concise explanations including all pertinent information to reproduce the defect.



*Ability to interpret business requirement documents to write test scripts. Must be able to assume the persona of the end-user and critically question gaps in requirements and articulate unintended side- effects of the requirements as relevant.
*High competency with writing test plans and test scripts.
*Ability to manually execute test scenarios for verification purposes, positive and negative testing.
*5+ years of experience in managing and leading teams.
*Effective organizational and time management skills.
*Logical thinker with the ability to understand complex applications.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Experience with financial, supply chain, human resources, and retail applications (preferred).

Education/Experience:
*Bachelor's degree and/or combination of equivalent education and experience in Information Technology or related fields
*3+ years of experience in managing and leading a team
*3+ years of retail point of sale systems experience (NCR Aloha preferred)
*2+ years' experience with ERP systems testing highly desirable (D365 preferred)
*2+ years hands on experience testing in an environment with databases highly desirable (SQL server preferred).
