Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our team based in Mobile, AL

This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting communications objectives for Airbus commercial aircraft operations in Mobile, Alabama.

The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities assemble the finest aircraft in the world, along two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft. On the shop floor you'll be surrounded by individuals who are passionate about aviation and skilled in areas like electrical, structure and quality. Your working environment:

Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus' strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your challenges:

  • Create compelling audiovisual content that effectively communicates and supports Airbus top company objectives. This includes conceptualizing, storyboarding, filming, editing and production of internal/external videos, facilitation of live streamed events and meetings, creation of graphics, signage, multimedia presentations and more

  • Edit and enhance audiovisual materials using industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Ensure all audiovisual content aligns with Airbus brand guidelines, maintaining cohesive visual identity across all communication platforms.

  • Ensure the maintenance and organization of a web-based photo and video archive

  • Support an innovative digital media strategy for internal and external audiences.

  • Coordinate communications projects, campaigns and initiatives ensuring their successful execution within set timelines and budgets.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, provide guidance and ensure consistent messaging.

  • Work closely with and oversee external agencies, videographers and photographers to achieve audiovisual objectives when required.

  • Work with a variety of stakeholders to create engaging content for the internal workforce that supports top site objectives.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining clear and consistent corporate messaging that aligns with the company's mission.

  • Ensure all communications materials accurately reflect Airbus' brand identity and voice

  • Create and maintain communications content for intranet (known as "the Hub") website and Airbus TV.

  • Support employee events and milestones by providing engaging videos and photography that promotes a safe, positive and productive working environment.

Your boarding pass:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field required.

  • Required: Two years of professional experience in Communications.

  • Required: Strong project management abilities; Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while executing tactically; knowledge of current trends and best practices in communications.

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
