Overview:

As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial direction and modernizing the finance function to align with the demands of a modern digital media company. You will lead the accounting team, driving operational excellence and enabling strategic financial decision-making. This position is ideal for a dynamic leader who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about achieving financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, adhering to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships effectively to optimize financial resources and support strategic initiatives.
• Drive tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities, collaborating closely with external tax advisors/
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations, leveraging technology and data analytics.
• Oversee pension accounting activities, including reporting and compliance, staying abreast of pension plan regulations and implementing best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Proven experience of 10+ years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a digital media or technology-driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, with experience in pension accounting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and develop innovative solutions to achieve business goals.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), Excel, and data modeling software, to support efficient financial operations and analysis.
