Job Description: We are offering an exciting internship opportunity with Hire our Heroes for a motivated individual to join our team as a Talent Acquisition Scrum Coordinator Intern in the government cleared space. This internship is ideal for candidates looking to gain valuable experience in recruiting for security clearance requirements, technical skillsets, and talent sourcing in the defense and government contracting industry. As an intern, you will play a key role in supporting our team and contributing to the success of our clients across various industries. This internship offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Coordination: Manage interview schedules, coordinate candidate travel arrangements, and ensure a smooth recruitment process.
  • Candidate Communication: Maintain regular communication with candidates, keeping them informed of their application status and next steps in the process.
  • ATS Management: Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track candidate progress, update candidate records, and generate reports as needed.
  • Job Postings: Assist in creating and posting job descriptions on job boards and company websites.
  • Interview Support: Coordinate and schedule interviews, prepare interview materials, and collect feedback from interviewers.
  • Onboarding Assistance: Support the onboarding process for new hires, including collecting required documentation and facilitating orientation.
  • Recruitment Events: Assist in organizing and coordinating recruitment events such as job fairs and campus recruiting activities.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment data, including metrics and reports on recruitment activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring processes.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the talent acquisition team, including managing calendars and scheduling meetings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process.
  • Provide administrative support to the recruiting team as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the director and executive team as needed.

  • Basic data analysis skills to interpret recruitment metrics, track performance, and make data-driven decisions to improve the recruitment process.
  • Ability to think outside the box when it comes to sourcing candidates, including utilizing niche job boards, social media, coding communities, and other unconventional channels.
  • A solid understanding of technical roles and the ability to comprehend the skills, qualifications, and experience required for various positions in IT, software development, engineering, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Talent Acquisition, or a related field
  • SHRM Certification
  • 2+ year of experience in administrative settings
  • Work/experience with the DOD and similar business entities
