Responsibilities

The Hardware Asset Management role will be based in the Sterling, VA and tele-work may be available. Selected candidate must be able to support occasional travel as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

    Tracking the deployment of network, server and related devices, and their individual configurations (to include serial numbers at the component level) in a secure manner consistent with defined asset management practices.
  • Maintaining a cache of endpoint devices for break fix/replacement and addition of new staff, supporting the development of the Agency-wide Asset Refresh Plan, and supporting ancillary processes associated with the procurement, deployment, validation, and retirement of both tangible and software assets.
  • Adhering to the agency's Asset Management Strategy and Asset Refresh Plan, to ensure equipment functional readiness, reliability, security, and availability to support operational and deployment requirements.
  • Testing and validating all communications equipment is functional prior to deployment; validating field equipment inventory with the Asset Management team, and ensuring reviews and updates are continuously provided.
  • Conducting baseline wall-to-wall warehouse inventory to update and ensure accuracy of asset data and generating accurate inventory reports out of the Agency's ServiceNow tool.
  • Monitoring and supporting the annual FISMA audits to ensure compliance with reporting requirements for hardware and software asset management.
  • Maintaining all asset records and configuration items (CIs) in the CMDB and executing all asset management processes.
  • Performing receiving and shipping services utilizing both government and commercial shipping processes.
  • Generating monthly report of hardware asset inventory located at warehouse facility and equipment supporting deployment and field activities.
  • Reviewing ServiceNow ticket queue, assist with questions and prioritization as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

  • U.S. Citizen; eligible for U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Completed BS/BA with 5 - 7 years, or MS with 3 - 5 years, or PhD with 0 -2 years of experience; four (4) years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Windows 10 or later Operating System.
  • Knowledge and experience using ServiceNow or comparable ITSM ticket and incident management tool.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Some physical lifting requirements, must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Highly self-motivated and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologies.
  • ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 Foundation Level certification a plus.
  • ServiceNow CMBD experience.

Target Salary Range
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
