Job Description
Looking to add anAssistant Controllerto a team that really values their culture and team members and the work they are doing to help the community. Real estate asset management experience a must.3 days in office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, Manage & Hold Team Members Accountable
    • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to accounting team. Foster a collaborative work environment focused on achieving departmental and organizational goals.
    • Design, develop and implement best-in-class financial systems, processes, and procedures for the company and its multiple entities.
    • Suggest and implement process & systems improvements to drive efficiency, best practices and automation as the company and department evolves.
  • Maintain Accurate Financials
    • Manage and maintain day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
    • Prepare GAAP compliant financial statements for Company and property entities for all necessary periods: Monthly, Quarterly & Annually.
    • Perform and supervise timely month end close for all company entities including bank reconciliations.
    • Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns for all company entities.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
    • Lead the development and management of company monthly and annual budgets and forecasts to inform business performance monitoring and decision making by the Senior Leadership Team.
    • Develop, implement, and track financial Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) on a one-page Scorecard. Update scorecard on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to inform business performance monitoring and decision making by the Senior Leadership Team.
    • Other ad hoc reports and projects as determined by Senior Leadership Team.
  • Oversee Cashflow Management
    • Ensure all company vendors are paid accurately and on time.
    • Manage regular corporate payroll and company operational funding.
  • Entity Accounting Support
    • Maintain the financial activities of new company and property entities that require accounting support.
    • Ensure all entities are in good corporate standing with regulatory agencies.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, lease agreements, loan covenants, and other contractual obligations.
