Family & Children's Services, Oklahoma's leading community mental health center, has opportunities for energetic Therapist to work with Adults in several of our programs. Therapist work as part of a client care team a Jail Re-entry Program. Programs now hiring Therapist include:

Jaily Re-entry Grant Related Program

Under clinical supervision and within agency policy and clinical standards, provide direct counseling and therapy services producing optimal outcomes to a designated population, with a multiplicity of problems. Services will be provided in one or more settings using evidence-based treatments (EBT) when possible. Services include but are not limited to assessment & diagnosis, treatment planning, therapy services (which can include individual, couple's, child, family, and group therapies), and crisis intervention. Maintain confidentiality of client records and information. Maintain accurate and timely documentation and meet department direct service productivity standards. Will utilize telehealth options when needed to improve a client's health.

General Requirements

  • Requires a Master's degree in Social Work or its equivalent from an accredited school.
  • Must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT or LADC or under licensure supervision.
  • Knowledge and experience in individual, group and family therapy.
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments.
  • Demonstrate competency in crisis intervention, conducting specialized risk assessment of suicidal and other high risk individuals.
  • Perform efficiently in emergency situation remaining calm, and documenting events.
  • Must work well in a very fast paced, crisis-centered environment.
  • Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.

CCBHC Model of Care

Family & Children's Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. You will be working in an innovative and dynamic environment using a new transformative model of care Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This model is characterized by innovative, team-based approach and whole person care for adults and children with a range of complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams, staff work collaboratively to provide a coordinated effort to enhance client recovery. Robust CCBHC services often result in better client outcomes and quality of care due to:

  1. Increased access to care and crisis services
  2. Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services.
  3. Added Care Coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients
  4. Greater access to Social Services for clients' economic and social needs
  5. Increased specialized services for veterans, those most in need, and those impacted by the opioid crisis.
