SUMMARY

Bin and remove frame and lenses from bins physically and in the DVI system. Reprint work tickets, fold and put in correct trays. Assist with expediting work as requested by management and customer service teams as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

  1. Bin frames that are delivered to the frame to come area.
  2. Bin lenses that are delivered to the frame to come area.
  3. After frames arrive and are traced, place frame and lenses that were previously in lens bins, in a tray to be completed by the lab.
  4. Match frame with trays that come in from the lab. Remove the frame from bin in DVI and place with lenses to go to the finish department to be edged and mounted.
  5. Pull tint sample frame tin bin and return tray to tint department to be tinted.
  6. Reviews assigned queues in Combobulator and makes corrections based on specific queue guidelines.
  7. Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen and enters necessary codes.
  8. Compares data entered with source documents or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors.
  9. Makes necessary corrections to information entered.
  10. Must know additional information when it applies: billing policies, lens availability, frame manufacturers, etc.
  11. Send tray to customer service call back with appropriate notes attached.
  12. Make changes on the Eyefinity website if VSP orders need to be modified.
  13. Receive and tray up work from outsourced vendors. Pull frames, sort trays and scan to appropriate station.
  14. Tray up orders received over the internet or fax.
  15. Receive frames in DVI and assign bin locations.
  16. Verify frame edge type correct.
  17. Print, key, and check billing on VBS insurance jobs.
  18. Open mail and sort frame by account
  19. Empty carts of empty trays received from Shipping and return carts to designated areas.
  20. Archive redo orders.
  21. Work with customer service and the production teams to give our customers the best service and quality possible.

Secondary duties

  1. Keep empty tray full in preproduction area.
  2. Fill customer supply requests from customer service.
  3. Keep track of frames not in process using process supplied.
  4. Issue credits.
  5. Other duties as assigned by the Team Lead or Manager
  6. Invoice and ship specialty orders.
  7. Audit frame bins weekly.
  8. Assist in yearly lens inventory.
  9. Maintain shared email.
  10. Add drill information to orders as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Able and willing to work as a team.
  • Must be able to work Overtime and Saturdays when needed and be flexible with work schedule.
  • Able to read and write English Language well and good with basic math skills.
  • Able to memorize large amounts of data accurately.
  • Have experience working on a computer.
  • Critical thinking skills.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and to use hands to type and write. The employee occasionally is required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Safety Requirements

  • Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program
  • Must use proper ergonomics when lifting and sitting at workstation especially when using a computer.
