Junior Regulatory Economist

This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Cherokee United Services (CUS) is seeking a Junior Regulatory Economist to join our Regulatory, Policy, and Economics practice in the Washington DC area. As a Junior Economist, you will support various projects focusing on labor, immigration, health, transportation, and other regulatory areas. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development in regulatory economics and policy analysis.

Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Junior Regulatory Economist:

  • Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided.

Junior Regulatory Economist Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist senior economists in conducting economic and regulatory analyses related to policy areas such as labor markets, worker safety, immigration, health, and transportation.
  • Support project activities by conducting research, data analysis, and preparing reports under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal writing, client meetings, and other sales activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work products to clients.
  • Stay updated on regulatory developments and contribute insights to support policy-making activities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Junior Regulatory Economist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, or a related discipline.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience in economic analysis or regulatory policy. Within a federal agency or organization is strongly desired
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance is required.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
