About the Job

The ENACT Research Group is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to assist with studies that investigate the role of nutrition in cancer prevention and survivorship using technology. We have several ongoing projects that are available for the successful candidate based on their interest and goals. Primary responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments, managing and analyzing data, and assisting with grants and manuscripts. There is an opportunity to extend the appointment after one year.

Focus of Job Responsibilities

Ongoing Research - 70%
Design and conduct studies that advance our research objectives.
Test and refine technology applications for dietary tracking, nutritional analysis, or meal planning.
Assist the PI in drafting IRB protocols and standard operating procedures.
Ensure study treatment fidelity across different study sites.
Oversee data collection and management.
Participate in or lead meetings with collaborators on projects.
Analyze data and develop figures and tables for publications and grants.

Scientific Writing and Presentation -20%
Write scientific manuscripts.
Generate research posters and presentations.
Assist the PI with grant applications.

Training and Development - 5%
Participate in professional development opportunities.
Communicate research findings and expertise to different audiences.

Other - 5%
Mentor students or research professionals involved in the research project.
Participate in community outreach.

Flexible Work Profile

Some on-site work may be necessary for certain positions, even those designated as fully remote. Flexible Work Profile Three is expected to work remotely more than 50% of the time. Your dedicated office space will be your remote work location. The Hormel Institute management retains the right to modify flexible work arrangement agreements on a temporary or permanent basis for any reason at any time.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
PhD in health sciences or a related field.
Expertise in data analysis.
Record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Ability to work independently.
Strong organizational and communication (verbal, written) skills.
Attentive to detail.
Must live or be willing to relocate to Minnesota.

Preferred Qualifications
Has experience working with participants.
