The role reports to the Operations Manager and is located in Portland, Tennessee. As a Maintenance Tech - 2nd Shift, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and / or repairs on all manufacturing or related process equipment. They are expected to work safely and keep up 5S in their work area.

Your responsibilities

  • Manually maintain and repair all manufacturing or related process equipment
  • Install / set, or relocate facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot and operate equipment as required
  • Analyze problems and take corrective action as required and provide processing expertise when needed
  • Perform periodic PM's as required
Your background

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Technical education preferred
  • 5 years experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferred
  • Injection molding experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and hydraulic pneumatic
  • Must have adequate interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
  • Experience with robotics and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) is preferred
  • Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Responsible for following every precaution and safety rules to protect oneself and fellow employees from bodily injury throughout the operations
  • Report any injuries, unsafe conditions, equipment, or practices immediately to management
  • Cooperate with others working as a team environment
  • Demonstrate high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrate good judgment in using tools, equipment, etc. when non-standard situations arise
  • Make effective use of work time
  • Demonstrate creativity in recommending improvements in procedures
  • Maintain clean work area at all times
  • Perform other responsibilities as required by Team Leader and/or Supervisor
  • Is fully supportive of plant loss prevention efforts, and supports 5S
  • Makes suggestions and implements ideas to eliminate waste and continually improve processes
