Summary
The adjunct instructor of ethics teaches a 3-credit hour ethics course that primarily serves pre-nursing and other students interested in the health professions. Ability to create and deliver lessons and evaluate student work is required. Experience with active learning techniques, instructional technology, and a good sense of humor are welcome. Compensation is based on the number of sections taught and is commensurate with degree and experience.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role you will need:
- A Ph.D. in Philosophy or Bioethics is preferred, but candidates with master's degrees in these fields will also be considered.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate level, particularly as the instructor or record, preferred.
- Willingness to incorporate diversity, cultural-competency and social justice into teaching.
- Experience with learning management systems (D2L Brightspace or equivalent) is preferred.
