What You Will Learn:

We are seeking a Finance Manager who is eager to learn and grown to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity that supports all areas in finance and will help drive process improvements within and outside the department. This is a developmental role and the ideal candidate would be someone willing to roll their sleeves up and learn as much about L'Oreal finance as possible in order to prepare them for future promotions within or even outside of the finance department. This position will help support the annual budget, monthly close, and reporting requirements. They will have direct responsibility for managing fixed assets including depreciation. This position could also assist with indirect spend monitoring, costing support, and any other areas where additional resources are needed.

  • Reviews journal entries for assigned area(s)
  • Reviews fixed asset projects with the engineering team
  • Ensure proficient processes and accurate results.
  • Reviews general ledger account analysis and reports
  • Improves policies & procedures for recording new and/or existing transactions.
  • Acts as liaison with other departments.

This position will report to the Finance Director but will support the Controller and the rest of the finance team as needed.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
  • 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to successfully interact with business colleagues
  • Independent problem-solving and thorough analytical skills; self-motivated, self-directed and flexible individual
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to successfully handle multiple concurrent tasks
  • Sound collaboration skills to build and maintain relationships with external and internal partners
  • Good understanding of manufacturing business processes and concepts
  • Well-developed communication (verbal and written) and strong influencing skills at all levels
  • Must be a self-starter with a desire to promote and implement continuous improvement endeavors
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Must be able to communicate accounting matters with all levels within the organization and to outside parties including auditors and vendors, if necessary
  • Must be proficient in Excel
  • Must be able to sit at desk for long hours

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • SAP experience a plus
