Reporting to the HSPRS Program Officer for Training and Compliance, the Program Specialist for Training and Compliance will support LIRS in delivering high-quality programs and services for unaccompanied children and families. The position will contribute to the development of training and compliance protocols that will ensure quality training products and compliance with training requirements.

DUTIES

  • Provide support to the training team in oversight of program training tools, and compliance procedures related to training and onboarding requirements.
  • Provide data entry including creating and auditing electronic files.
  • Uploading training documents into the Global Refuge database and tracking compliance
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of online and in-person training using interactive video conferencing and presentations to inform field and HQ staff of the most recent standards policies and procedures regarding home studies and post-release services for migrant children.
  • Maintain up-to-date contact lists, and address changes in databases.
  • Manage monthly and periodic partner meetings related to training.
  • Manage network-wide training schedule and track participant experience.
  • Provide assistance for headquarters monitoring preparation including collecting memos, training plans, and informal communications, throughout the year and filing reports.
  • Providing administrative support for funding proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of work experience in data analysis or human services program support or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in web communications technology, including Teams, Go To Meeting, etc.
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization is preferred.
  • Possess analytical reasoning and the ability to interpret and evaluate complex information, while identifying patterns and essential issues.
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced dynamic working environment.
  • Commitment to Global Refuge's core mission and values and an ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners; commitment to empowering refugees and migrants. Special Position Requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel to sites and attend relevant conferences up to 10%.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Must be able to pass an FBI background check as well as a CA/N check for every state in which they have resided in the last five years.
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
