About the role

Your responsibilities
  • Oversee safety assessments and audits as well as resolution and follow-up of corrective actions identified during assessments
  • Manage hazard identification, analysis, and control programs
  • Participate at initiation phase of equipment installation and setup to assist in design for safety, health, ergonomic and environmental principles
  • Develop and lead the implementation of safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Set standards to which others will be held responsible and accountable
  • Maintain procedures to keep current
  • Develop training materials to support safety and health programs
  • Promote employee awareness of health and safety through training and continual facility-wide communication
  • Develop and implement proactive environment, health, and safety programs
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health & safety Performance Measurement Programs (i.e. audits, metrics) while tracking and reporting progress
  • Create and facilitate H&S teams and/or committees as needed to meet safety objectives
  • Provide expert technical assistance to the department and to the business units
  • Build effective relationships with site EHS Manager and regional team to ensure consistency of systems
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to health andenvironmental safety standards
  • Develop and manage accident and injury investigation program

The experience we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree (field related to Environmental Safety is a plus)
  • 5-8 years experience as an environmental/safety professional or similar background
  • Project Management experience
  • Engineering experience is a plus

US salary ranges

USD $91,000 - $137,000

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
