Job Posting:

Kontoor Brands, Inc. seeks an experienced Compliance Director to implement, manage and continuously improving Kontoor's global ethics and compliance program. The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing multiple projects independently, collaborating across the organization and with senior leadership, taking initiative to learn about Kontoor's business and compliance risks and exercising sound judgement to escalate compliance issues appropriately. The Compliance Director will report to the Associate General Counsel - Litigation, Employment & Compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Associate General Counsel - Litigation, Employment & Compliance to implement and drive Kontoor's compliance program development plan.
  • Drive cross-functional projects to continue the development of Kontoor's compliance program.
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR and Internal Audit to develop and assist in carrying out compliance-related audits and risk assessments.
  • Promote Kontoor's culture of integrity by assisting with developing and implementing an effective compliance communications plan.
  • Develop and efficiently manage Kontoor's third-party due diligence screening, and conflicts of interest process.
  • Assist with assessment and management of actual or potential conflicts of interest.
  • Maintain a sound understanding of the business activities and applicable local, state, federal and international laws and regulations.
  • Identify specific compliance priorities for the company; plan and prioritize activities based on risk on a prescribed cycle (e.g., development of annual compliance plan).
  • Collaborate with HR and other relevant teams to continuously enhance compliance training and monitor the effectiveness of compliance training program.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to personnel with ethics and compliance questions or concerns.
  • Assist in updating Kontoor's Code of Conduct and compliance policies, procedures and resources, as needed, and ensure consistency across Kontoor's compliance related policies.
  • Support Legal and HR with internal investigations and remediation actions, and ensure findings are appropriately documented.
  • Review commercial and other operational projects to identify and mitigate compliance risks presented.
  • Ensure effective implementation of third-party management process and train employees in compliance related issues involved in the sales, procurement, and partnering process.
  • Assist with preparing regular compliance program briefings for General Counsel.
  • Work with Legal and other stakeholders to ensure that interactions with local authorities and regulators are coordinated; implement processes to identify and manage regulatory requests and deadlines.
  • Establish and lead corporate compliance committee to ensure coordinated compliance with internal and cross-functional teams to ensure corporate global compliance.

  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Excellent social, oral, and written communication skills Experience/Education: * Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of ten (20) years of relevant work experience assisting with the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a global ethics and compliance program.
  • Experience in OFAC, antitrust, anti-corruption, and conflicts compliance.
  • Experience with third-party due diligence.
