Manages the administration of software licenses including contractual compliance; and harvesting unused capacity and cloud usage/license management. Manages software license information and updates. Assist with the development of enterprise wide IT purchasing standards and procedures. Serves as liaison to the Finance and Legal departments as it relates to the functions of this position. Provides support to the Finance department by providing asset information. Defines requirements for license acquisition and procedures to include management and disposal strategies for the enterprise. Works effectively within the Vendor Management Office (VMO), the architecture/planning team, and other IT and LOB partners.

As a Senior License Manager, you will:

  • Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services, and follow through to ensure those savings are recognized.
  • Partner within the VMO, Finance, Project Leaders, and Business Line leaders to ensure that negotiated licenses are appropriate and in the best interest of all parties.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, licensing, and contractual requirements by implementing effective monitoring processes and procedures.
  • Develop key performance metrics and tracking mechanisms to capture effectiveness of asset management process.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve a structured Software Asset Management (SAM and Cloud Asset Management (CAM) strategy and governance program.
  • Work with the VMO and other engaged parties to manage and defend all internal and external audits of IT license assets.
  • Provide leadership in forecasting SAM, and CAM needs related to organic growth and growth through acquisition.
  • Develop strong collaborative interpersonal relationships within and outside of IT.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with field of study as Business Administration, Technology, or related field. Required.

Experience

  • 5-6 years of experience with IT Asset Management including Software Asset Management (SAM). Required.
