SET THE COURSE

Develops visual merchandising concepts and direction for all Tommy Bahama Retail and Wholesale Stores, including Men's, Women's, and Home. Drives brand strength and consistency in the field, with regards to established merchandise presentation strategies, as well as maximizing opportunities by region/market/location. Specific accountability to communicate directly with Retail team corporately and with key Retail partners.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

  • Conceive seasonal merchandising plans with the Retail Merchant Team and Corporate Marketing Team, driving key merchandising strategies for all retail locations.

  • Assess business opportunities with regards to space, presentation and fixturing by season.

  • Provide recommendations to merchants for optimizing assortments that lead to maximizing the overall presentation and brand experience in the store.

  • Develop merchandising direction for retail stores by season to enhance product and guest experience.

  • Conceive and communicate product merchandising standards, guidelines and philosophies for all business categories.

  • Manage the development and publication of the Seasonal Buy Strategy / Presentation Guide process and document.

  • Research marketplace trends and integrate as appropriate.

  • Establish parameters, needs and end use for Marketing collateral in Retail stores and Wholesale.

  • Publish clear and concise directions for implementation of Marketing collateral in stores.

  • Identify the merchandising strategies that support the Brand direction and customize the overall guest experience.

  • Review plans for each new and remodeled stores and establish initial fixture requirements and layout.

  • Partner with Retail Merchant team to establish capacity, fixture needs, and the merchandise assortment and allocation parameters.

  • Partner with New Store Opening Manager / Regional Visual Manager to communicate the merchandising strategy for initial store set up.

  • Conduct store visits/on-site training with Regional Visual Managers as needed to maximize the level of understanding and execution of seasonal merchandising strategies, as well as merchandising standards and guidelines.

  • Partner with Design team on seasonal key looks /BIG ideas and product presentation

  • Create compelling seasonal presentation and window marketing strategies and roll out plans inclusive of directives and execution.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

  • 5+ years' experience in a retail store and/or multi-unit management.

  • 5 years visual management and/or team supervisory experience.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to address adversity with exuberance and optimism.

  • Knowledgeable of current fashion and styling trends and able to effectively interpret/apply to our brand.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Knowledge of Adobe CS - Proficient with Photoshop and InDesign

  • Proficient with basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Flexibility and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong presentation skills.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Routine standing of approximately 8 hours per day

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to approximately 50 lbs.

  • Bending/stooping/kneeling required occasionally

  • Travel approximately 65%.

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $80,071.25 - 138,118.75 annually
