Are you aware that the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources oversees more than 2 million acres of forest land in 48 out of 67 counties in Pennsylvania? It's incredible! We have a team of passionate environmental experts who work tirelessly to combat wildfires, safeguard public and private land from harmful pests and diseases, preserve native plants, and responsibly harvest timber.
In your role as an Engineering Intern, you will acquire knowledge in environmental engineering design and construction practices. You will support the team in repairing, modifying, and upgrading water and wastewater management facilities on DCNR properties. Additionally, you will learn about design functionality, shadow staff during inspections, help in preparing project documents, and gain experience in reading engineering drawings and reviewing contracts and proposals.
