Position Description

DELTA has been tasked to provide program management support to the DISA Program Executive Office for Mission Assurance Network Operations (PEO-MA / NetOps) IT program leads through the entire acquisition life cycle of their respective programs.
The goal of project management is to carry the project through the entire project management life cycle by applying the following project management skills to IT projects: (1) developing plans and schedules, (2) estimating resource requirements, (3) defining milestones and deliverables, (4) monitoring activities, and (5) evaluating and reporting on accomplishments to senior agency/corporate leaders.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Drafting/editing statements of work and performance work statements
  • Coordinating the development of Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP)
  • Developing Acquisition Strategies
  • Assisting with development of independent government cost estimates (IGCEs)
  • Assisting with development and review of acquisitions documentation, program plans, spend plans and track program financial resources
  • Perform program planning, organizing, and identifying resources required to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the development of worksheets that require current and projected budget, schedule, and risk information and performance measures for assigned projects
  • Evaluate actions items and advise the Project Manager on potential solutions.

The individual will function as the program lead at administrative, technical, test and acquisition meetings. Good oral and written communication skills are a must. The candidate will have a technical background as well as program management/acquisition experience. The position will move to Ft. Meade, MD at the end of 2010.
