OPPORTUNITY
This is a great opportunity for a mission-driven individual who has demonstrated program management expertise in the international development field. Specifically, you would have the chance to expand your extensive experience managing US government-funded contracts and building strong client relationships through excellence in program management.
PURPOSE & NEED
The LAC Environmental Support Services Contract II (ESSC-II) is a demand-driven, buy-in, T&M contract procured through the GSA MAS that helps USAID staff in 16 countries and in Washington, DC design and implement more sustainable and impactful programs. ESSC-II will build upon the predecessor contract, currently implemented by EI. Through this position, you will have the opportunity to finetune your strong client engagement and change management skills to help high-performing teams and individuals implement contracted work.
The ESSC-II Senior Operations and Contract Specialist will be a key part of the project leadership team, serving alongside the Project Director to ensure that all project administration and operations run smoothly and effectively. Your remit will include working closely with the Project Director to deliver a successful contract start-up including aligning project-specific planning, budgeting, and reporting tools with EI's corporate tools and systems. With the Project Director, you will oversee and manage the financial performance of the contract, which is a buy-in mechanism. In this regard, you will provide excellent management of core and buy-in funds resulting in easily accessible, clear, and actionable budget information to USAID clients who fund core and buy-in activities, as well as colleagues on the implementation team and subcontractors. You will ensure contract compliance with all USAID requirements, helping the implementing team, including subcontractors, develop and use systems that will support compliance while also delivering tailored, client-responsive services in 16 countries.
You will manage one or more Program Managers and/or Project Coordinators familiar with EI systems and processes. As a Senior Operations and Contracts Specialist, you will also engage with EI's Program Management Unit Service Line to increase the effectiveness of ESSC-II by drawing on company knowledge and resources, and disseminating company best practices, policies, tools, and processes across the ESSC-II implementing team.
You will also engage in company-level processes, such as corporate reporting and forecasting, annual strategic planning, and operations decision-making and support. You will contribute to development of cost proposals and management plans for EI's new business opportunities as feasible.

BASE STATION AND COVID-19 POLICY
The position will be based in Washington, DC. Environmental Incentives is implementing a hybrid work model in which employees will be required to work in the office approximately two days per week.
Proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 or legally authorized exemption is required for all Environmental Incentives employees working in the United States, regardless of office location or remote work. Selected candidates will be required to provide proof of full vaccination before beginning employment with Environmental Incentives. Full vaccination is defined as 2 weeks after the final dose of the requisite vaccination.
